5G networks of telecommunication are changing the digital economy by allowing new applications that rely on extremely rapid communications at an industrial scale. Most of these applications, such as factory automation, driverless cars, smart cities, and telemedicine, capitalize on advances in artificial intelligence, and 5G networks are also AI-enabled.

As the research shows, the manufacturing sector has become the most affected industry sector in the UK and represents almost 46% of all cyber-attacks. Since the maintenance challenges are evolving with each passing day, 5G companies are expected to deal with them and bring out some sensible solutions. 

The most shocking aspect is that 59% of businesses are either investing in 5G or planning to do so in the future despite all such issues. 5G companies, with the help of an enhanced legal liability regime, are essential to enhance private-sector cybersecurity. Recently the successor to Yahoo Altaba settled in a shareholder suit over the customer data breach of Yahoo, and it gave a fair warning to other companies. 

Moreover, the telecom industry works with the 5G technology to improve its maintenance and installation issues and develop voluntary standards. These standards will inform that courts will apply in cybersecurity cases and then provide a foundation for the operational insurance market to price cyber risk. These standards also coexist with the programs that incentivize private sector entities and share cyber threat information with the federal government.

Conclusively, there is no denying the fact that the future is all technological based, the crazy inventions and new and faster networks will rule the world, and businesses want them too since they make trading easy. Having a robust security strategy that works and is relevant is the primary plan is a need of the time; however, it should be implemented at any cost. Apart from this, the 5G roll out further needs to minimize any digital connectivity that divides both the rural and urban areas. Even though 5G is solving and is expected to solve a plethora of maintenance issues, one cannot ignore the security issues that it has been creating.
